Time

Time

We just don't have much of it...what we do with it matters to the Lord.
I've always said my husband, my children, and my home
THAT'S MY MINISTRY!

Blogging is fun and I enjoy it. Living in the country with long Midwest winters is tough sometimes.
The Internet can become a great way to WASTE time.
I want to invent my time more wisely.
Yes, I'll still post a recipe from time to time, but it won't be consistent.
My time with my family, friends, and home WILL BE CONSISTENT.

The Lord stirs our hearts at different times and in different ways.
But we must always be willing to listen and obey.

Until we meet again,
Carla <><

Carla's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I can hardly believe that I have yet to blog about cookies!
I have a real heart for baking.  Cookies, Cakes, Pies, Breads, and Rolls are my favorite things to make.
This is the Cookie recipe I developed in high school.  I was always trying to make recipes "my own" even all those years ago.  I still love to try new recipes and tweak ones I find.
I'm thankful for a mom and grandma who instilled in me a love for cooking and baking.
It is such a great way to bless the ones you love with a special sweet treat!
I hope you will enjoy this recipe....I have for MANY years now ;)
Enjoy

The recipe card
 Gather ingredients
Place the butter, sugars, and vanilla in bowl
 Cream together
 Add eggs
 Mix well
Sift the flour, soda, and salt
(I always sift my dry ingredients for baking)
Add the flour mixture...I add a little cold water if the batter is to dry. just a few teaspoons
Our secret ingredient..I add semi-sweet chips, milk chocolate chips, and toffee bits
 Stir in the goodies
I always freeze a tray...so we don't eat em' all :)
Just place on a cookie sheet and freeze for about 10 min
Bag them up and place in the freezer for later

 Bake 375'  8-10 min
Let them cool on the cookie sheet for 4-5 min before removing them.
Enjoy!
