Putting up Corn

{Freezer Corn}

This past weekend we headed to a local farm stand to purchase some sweet corn.
We got 1 Bushel. We blanched it, cut and bagged it up for the freezer.
It made 17 bags. We paid $15 for the Bushel
That was .88 cents per bag.  Well worth the work.
Head over to a local Farmer's Market or Farm Stand today!

Shucking the corn
 Ready to go
Blanch in boiling water for 2-3 min

Cut off the cob
Place in sandwich baggie and freeze.

We are planning on getting another Bushel this weekend.
It is a great family project and a great way to save money while eating healthy.
